Annual Celtic Heritage Lecture
Niamh Brennan (MA Development Studies; MA Culture and Spirituality) is a writer and workshop facilitator in the area of cosmology and spirituality. She is co-author with Greg Morter of the e-book The Universe Story in Science and Myth for Green Spirit. She is author of the book “The Human in the Universe”. In this book, the age-old existential human questions such as ‘what is love, what is suffering, what does it mean to be alive’, are addressed anew, but this time from the larger context of the Universe story as articulated through contemporary science. The book draws on philosophy, the major insights emerging from cosmology and personal reflection to postulate a more relational, compassionate and sustainable vision of humanity for the future.
Enamoured by the elegance of the universe story, as elucidated in contemporary science and spirituality, Niamh Brennan seeks to revision our human place in the vastly interconnected world we know today. Despite the fact that we are often “a struggling, bewildered species”, our newly expanded capacity for reflection, arising from our evolving cosmic consciousness, provides new ground for gratitude and hope. Honest, reflective and deeply challenging, Niamh creates a visionary synthesis that will enhance our hope for living more authentically in the complex world of the 21st. century. –Diarmuid O Murchu https://www.amazon.com/human-Universe-Niamh-Brennan-ebook/dp/B00PSOWBQ4
