Presentation by: Pamela de Bri
Venue: Solas Bhride Centre, Tully Road, Kildare town.
Come and meet Artist Pamela de Brí who, in 2011, took to the rails and began a 1,000 km cycle across the Midland Great Western Railway network, retracing its former glories and enduring beauty through video, photographs, notebooks, audio-clips and maps.
The multimedia installation consists of heartfelt local accounts of the train service and beautiful images of the stations and tracks of both past and present.
Her journey began with the O’Dea Collection in the National Photographic Archive and ended in a series of exhibitions, the latest of which is in Kildare Town Library for the month of August.
This is a free event and there will be complimentary refreshments.
Solas Bhride is delighted to host this event in conjunction with Kildare Town Library
