Update on Project – February 2014
Good News – Commencement of Project!
We are delighted to share the good news that construction of the new Centre and Hermitages began on Tuesday, March 19th, 2013. It has been a long road with many twists and turns. The contract was signed on Friday March 15th and Manley Construction Ltd. moved onto the site on Tuesday 19th. (See Development Update for progress to date.)

This makes our final fundraising drive all the more urgent!
We have succeeded in securing a grant of €150,00 from Kildare Leader Partnership. We had hopes for a larger grant but are grateful for what we have received.
We are happy to share with you the following information. The good news is that we have raised €3,060,000. (80% of the funds needed.) We now need your help to raise the final 20% of the cost.

We are deeply grateful to the Brigidine congregation, individual donors, fundraisers, the community of Kildare, friends of St. Brigid, those who supported the ‘sponsor a block’ campaign, and those who sent donations via post, bank and web, whose efforts and generosity have raised €3,060,000.
How can you help?
With the commencement of construction we have renewed energy for our final fundraising drive. We would really appreciate new fundraisers to help with this campaign. Some may wish to organise a fundraising event for the Centre, others may wish to send a donation directly via post, bank or web.
You may wish to contribute a ThermoPlan block, (highly insulated clay blocks), and help make this Centre possible. Blocks will continue to be sold across the world throughout the fundraising campaign.
Blocks cost: €10.00, $20 US, $20 Australian… each.
