This special International Pilgrimage marks the 1500^th anniversary of the death of St. Brigid.  We will commemorate and celebrate St. Brigid: A Woman, A Life, A Legacy.

A special welcome to all overseas pilgrims/visitors

"Pilgrimage is a gentle invitation to spend time in reflection, to visit sites with a long spiritual heritage, to slow the pace and feed the spirit." R Minehan - Rekindling the Flame Revised Edition.

Pilgrims are invited to gather at Solas Bhríde Spirituality Centre, Tully Road, Kildare town, R51 Y281 at 10.00 a.m on Saturday, June 15^th.  Registration and tea/coffee on arrival.

Below is a brief outline of the programme for the day.

The pilgrimage will conclude at 4.00 p.m. The total length of the pilgrim walk in the afternoon will be approximately 2km.             

The day will be interspersed with reflection, prayers, storytelling, poetry and music.

Cost:  €30.00 (incl. of light lunch)

Kildare is the homecoming for all who wish to walk in the footsteps of St. Brigid.  Increasing numbers of visitors/pilgrims from all over the world are drawn to Kildare to walk the sites associated with her.
