This special International Pilgrimage marks the 1500th anniversary of the death of St. Brigid. We will commemorate and celebrate St. Brigid: A Woman, A Life, A Legacy.
A special welcome to all overseas pilgrims/visitors

Pilgrims are invited to gather at Solas Bhríde Spirituality Centre, Tully Road, Kildare town, R51 Y281 at 10.00 a.m on Saturday, June 15th. Registration and tea/coffee on arrival.
Below is a brief outline of the programme for the day.

11.15a.m. | A short walk on The Curragh Plain (St. Brigid’s Pastures) - Bus will transport pilgrims to and from The Curragh Plain |
12.15p.m. | Visit to St. Brigid’s Cathedral - site of St. Brigid’s double monastery Visit to St. Brigid’s Parish Church – relic and icon. |
1.30p.m. | Return to Solas Bhríde for light lunch. |
2.15p.m. | Walk to St. Brigid’s wells. |
3.15p.m. | Return to Solas Bhríde for closing ritual. |
The pilgrimage will conclude at 4.00 p.m. The total length of the pilgrim walk in the afternoon will be approximately 2km.
The day will be interspersed with reflection, prayers, storytelling, poetry and music.
Cost: €30.00 (incl. of light lunch)
