The construction of the new Centre continues steadily unhindered by rain. A miracle for Ireland! On the day these pictures were taken the sun beamed down on the brick layers as they prepared the subfloors.
Stephen Smyth, Foreman, was happy to give an update on the progress and to explain the process of installing the subfloors, some of which are already in place. He went on to inform us that the laying of the eco blocks for the walls should begin within the next couple of weeks.
The circular foundation of the Conference Room is clearly visible in this picture.
The St. Brigid Cross woven on the day the sod was turned nestles neatly in the foundation of the Brigid Flame Room. All who have supported the Centre and those who will do so in the future were remembered as the cross was mindfully woven.
Donate a Block
In the coming weeks we will be promoting our “Donate a Block” campaign. If you would like to contribute to the new Centre you can do so by donating a block – €10 or $15 US. You will then be able to see “your block” as the walls begin to rise.Donations can be made through the donation page on this website.
