Location Assemble at SolasBhride, 14 Dara Park, Kildare.
Directions: Take the Station Road from the Market Square in Kildare Town.
Turn right into Dara Park (just before Esso Station)
Solas Bhride is situated at the end of the estate.
(5 minute walk from Heritage Centre in Market Square).

Eligibility Requirements Suitable footwear essential. Pilgrimage will last approximately two hours and cover a distance of 4 km.
Additional Information “Walking in the footsteps of Brigid” is a pilgrim journey conducted to the sites around Kildare town associated with St. Brigid.On the journey in the footsteps of Brigid the pilgrim will visit:

  • St. Brigid’s Cathedral, Round Tower and Fire Temple
  • St. Brigid’s Parish Church
  • St. Brigid’s Wayside Well
  • St. Brigid’s Garden WellPhil June 09 007
  • Site of new SolasBhride Centre

Pilgrims will have the opportunity to:

  • walk close to the earth and encounter the legends of Brigid and their relevance for today.
