Pause for Peace – Peace Ambassadors Training Day for Post Primary Schools
Date: December 6th
Time: 10.00 a.m.
Venue: Solas Bhride Centre
The Pause for Peace movement will see students of County Kildare and across Ireland calling on people all around the world to stop for a minutes silence at 12.00 noon( local time) on St. Brigid’s Day, 1st February 2024.
Schools willing to participate are invited to nominate at least four ambassadors for Pause for Peace (senior cycle students – TY/5th years), who will represent their school at a training day on Wednesday 6th December at the Solas Bhríde Centre in Kildare. This will be an opportunity to learn, share and collaborate with students from across Kildare and Ireland on various activities and movements which give recognition to the importance of St.Brigid from a cultural, religious, spiritual and historical point of view.
To facilitate the planning and coordination, we kindly request your permission to allow students from your school to participate in our Pause for Peace celebration. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
